Privacy Policy

1. Scope of this policy

This policy covers the Measure & Make Group website, measureandmakegroup.com, in English and Spanish, and the messages you send us from it. It does not cover the websites of organizations we link to or have worked with.

2. Information you give us

This website has no inquiry form, no accounts, and nothing that asks for payment details. You reach us by email, text message, or phone call, using the buttons on our Start a Project page. Those buttons open your own email, messaging, or phone app, and nothing is sent until you send it from there.

When you contact us, we receive:

• Your email address or phone number, and your name if you include it.
• Whatever you choose to tell us in your message or call, such as your organization and what you hope to build. Please share only what is relevant, and keep confidential information, or personal information about other people, out of a first message.

3. Information collected automatically

This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, uses no advertising or tracking pixels, and does not build a profile of you. Web fonts are served from this site itself, so viewing a page does not call out to a font provider.

The site keeps two small preferences in your own browser and never sends them to us: your language choice, if you make one, so the site stops suggesting the other language; and a note that the opening animation has already played, which lasts only until you close the tab. You can clear both at any time in your browser's settings.

Like any website, this site is served by a hosting provider whose infrastructure may log ordinary request information, such as IP addresses and timestamps, for security and reliability. We do not use those logs for marketing.

4. How we use your information

We use what you send us to:

• Read and respond to your message.
• Prepare for a conversation about the work you described.
• Keep a record of our correspondence with you.

5. How we do not use your information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. We do not use it for advertising, and contacting us does not add you to a newsletter or marketing list. If a mailing list is offered in the future, it will be a separate, clearly labeled choice.

6. Service providers

We keep the list of parties who handle your information as short as the work allows. As this site works today:

• Your message travels through the email, messaging, or phone service you use to contact us, and through the ones we use to receive and answer it.
• Our hosting provider serves these pages and processes requests to them, including the ordinary request logging described above.

7. How long we keep it

We keep our correspondence with you while we are in conversation and for up to twenty-four months after our last contact, so that we can pick up a thread you started. After that it is deleted unless we have a specific reason to keep it longer, such as an active agreement or a legal obligation.

If you ask us to delete it sooner, we will, as described below.

8. Security, and its limits

This site is served only over an encrypted connection, and access to your messages is limited to Measure & Make Group.

No website, email, or messaging system can be guaranteed completely secure, and we do not claim otherwise. Please do not send anything in a first message that you would not want kept in business correspondence.

9. Access, correction, and deletion

You may ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email or call us using the details on our Start a Project page and describe what you would like done. We will act on it within a reasonable period, and we may need to confirm that you are the person who contacted us before making a change.

Where local law gives you further rights over your personal information, we will honor them.

10. Children's privacy

This site is intended for adults contacting us on behalf of an organization or business. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has contacted us, let us know through our Start a Project page and we will delete what they sent.

11. Links to other sites

Some pages link to organizations we have worked with, or to their own websites. Those sites are not under our control and have their own privacy practices. This policy applies only to the Measure & Make Group website.

12. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the effective date above will change with it, and the current version will always be the one published here. If a change materially affects how we handle information you have already sent us, we will say so on this page.

13. How to reach us

Privacy questions and requests can go to the email address or phone number on our Start a Project page.
